Who We Donate To:
Nourishing the North Shore
Newburyport, Massachusetts
Our partnership with Heron Pond Farm has been instrumental to the start of our free produce markets!
Nourishing the North Shore Mission:
Ensure equal access of healthy, local produce to all members of the North Shore in a manner that builds community, fosters connection, and promotes dignity and self-reliance.
About Donations:
All donated produce goes directly to Nourishing the North Shore's free VEGOUT Mobile Markets. The markets set up weekly at local food pantries and low-income/senior housing communities to distribute recovered local, fresh produce. The markets are staffed 100% by volunteers! More about VEGOUT can be seen here: https://www.nourishingthenorthshore.org/vegout
Our Neighbors’ Table
Amesbury, Massachusetts
From Executive Director Lyndsey Haight:
"We are fortunate to live in an area with an abundance of farmland. Heron Pond's partnership with Our Neighbors’ Table ensures their locally grown fresh produce is enjoyed by everyone in our community."
Heron Pond's produce goes out on the Market shelves at Our Neighbors’ Table's Amesbury, Merrimac, and Newburyport locations, serving over 600 households a week. Our guests are thrilled to have access to fresh locally grown produce to feed their families. Heron Pond donations are also used to prepare the Wednesday Meal, which provides a fresh, healthy 3 course meal to 150 guests each week.
Gather NH
Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Gather provides nutritious food and prepared meals to those experiencing hunger on the Seacoast in NH & Maine. They do this through the pantry market, mobile markets, and innovative food access programs. Gather serves more than 10,000 Seacoast residents each month and distributes over 1.7 million pounds of food each year.
Founded in 1816, by a group of compassionate women dedicated to feeding the families of fishermen on the Seacoast, Gather is one of the oldest social service agencies in the country. Over the years, Gather has evolved and expanded its reach and programs, but its unwavering commitment to ending food insecurity in Seacoast communities remains at the core of its legacy.
